How does a pilot become a rollout?
Begin with the operating environment and sample hardware. Check signal or capture feasibility, build a prototype, and define pilot acceptance conditions before expanding. A rollout decision should review observed failures, installation effort, connectivity and the process for maintaining devices in the field.
What hardware and integration constraints matter?
Supply device models, interfaces, protocol documentation and sample data where available. Discuss power, mounting, network coverage, offline behaviour, update access and how records enter the existing system. Hardware availability and vendor permissions can determine what can be tested or delivered.
How are cost, timing and validation scoped?
Prototype iterations, component sourcing, device variants, installation sites and integration effort drive the quote. Separate prototype, pilot and rollout milestones. For healthcare or other regulated uses, agree intended use and the required safety, security and regulatory review; an engineering pilot does not establish clinical accuracy or certification.
What happens after installation?
Agree ownership of firmware, application source and device documentation, alongside cloud accounts and access credentials. Specify who installs, monitors, updates and replaces devices, how failures are escalated and which support costs are recurring. Confirm these responsibilities before committing to a deployment scope.
